KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) - Killeen police are investigating a shooting after a man has died in the 2800 block Montague County Drive.

A 27-year-old man was shot and killed Tuesday morning in Killeen, according to Killeen police spokeswoman Ofelia Miramontez.
Police got a call about a shooting about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday and went to the 2800 block of Montague County Drive. There, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced the man dead at 4:38 a.m. Police said there is no information about any suspects at this time, and it is an ongoing investigation.

The name of the victim has been identified as 27 year-old Pierre Andre Keupp of Killeen.

An autopsy has been ordered to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
Killeen Police Investigate an early morning Homicide.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Tarrant County and Montague County Drive on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at approximately 3:29 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about shots fired. Upon the officers’ arrival in the area, they were notified by a witness that a male, in the 2800 block of Montague County Drive, was suffering from gunshot wound. Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced the 27 year-old black male victim deceased at 4:38 a.m.

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Family and friends gathered to celebrate the life of Pierre Keupp Wednesday evening.

The 27-year-old was found shot to death in the 2800 block of Montague County Drive early Tuesday.
Motorcycles from different bike clubs lined the street to show respect for a man they said was very loved.
Keupp was a part of a club called Tonka Toys MSC.
Dozens of people crowded together with balloons.
Candles were then lit and memories of Keupp was shared.
Balloons were released into the sky. "I love you P," yelled people in the crowd.
A friend said Keupps was a positive person to be around.
He was always smiling and knew how to have fun.

Keupp died Sept. 19, 2017, in Killeen. He was born Sept. 17, 1990, in Neckargartach, Germany.

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Family and friends gathered at Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church in Killeen to say goodbye to 27-year-old Pierre Keupp.

Keupp was shot to death early Tuesday just two days after his birthday. Matt Peterick was friends with Keupp for 6 years. He says Keupp was a good individual and didn’t deserve to be killed.
“Pierre he loved to be the life of the crowd,” Peterick said. “He gave everybody joy.”
Keupp was born on Sept. 17, 1990, in Neckargartach, Germany.
He attended Shoemaker High School and Central Texas College in Killeen.
He was a dedicated member of Tonka Toys Motor Sports Club. And had a strong love for motorcycles.
Rickey Joseph is a close friend of Keupp. He says he was not only a brother, but a friend as well.
All he wanted to do was take care of his son and have fun with us,” Joseph said.
“He was a Tonka Toy and he was out here grinding doing what he had to do the right way.”
Keupp was a positive person to be around. Family and friends say they will miss his smile and spirit. “He brought people together, not a lot of people can do that,” Peterick said. “It takes a unique individual to be able to bring people together.”

Keupp was given one last right through Killeen with his family and friends.
And although he is gone, they say he will be missed but never forgotten. “I love you P. We are going to hold it down for you down here man,” Peterick said.
“Rest in paradise.”
Keupp's body will be transported to South Carolina on Tuesday for his funeral.

His final Celebration of Life on Tuesday, September 26th 2017

Pierre Andre Keupp received his final Celebration of Life on Tuesday, September 26th 2017 at 11:00AM in Charleston, South Carolina in the North Area Funeral Home Chapel, followed by his Interment.
The service included various songs , scripture readings, prayers and words of comfort by the great Pastor Reverend Dr. Timothy R. Simmons Sr.
The family would also like to recognize and thank the Reverend Dr. Mary L. Jordan for her support in presiding over the services.
His final resting place is at Hillsboro-Brown Cemetery in Charleston South Carolina.
